Lesson 1
Solution: A homogeneous mixture that is made up of two or more substances.
Homogeneous Mixture: A mixture that has uniform composition, and you cannot see its ingredients visually.
Solvent: The substance that is mostly in the mixture.
Solute: The substance that is barely in the mixture.
Heterogeneous Mixture: A mixture that you can visually see the ingredients. There are two types of Heterogeneous Mixtures.
Suspension: A type of Heterogeneous Mixture, it separates the ingredients so it’s in multiple layers.
Colloid: A type of Heterogeneous Mixture, it does not separate into multiple layers.
